Anyone know anything about it? I'm thinking about doing my instrument there...I did my private at Aero Aviation down the street but they were rather unprofessional and the planes were poorly maintained.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

Doing my instrument there now. Maint has been good, ugly interiors but they fly. Equal amout of Warrior II's and 172's, or some 152's if you want to go cheap.

Warriors and 172's are 104 and hour, 152's are 78.

All the CFI's are independent.

Those are actually really cheap prices. I'll go visit them and see if they can talk me into it.

At Aero the maint was so bad...they have two 152's, one of them has had an inop com 2 the entire time I've been there, and the other one has had the left push to talk inop for two weeks. They've also both suffered transponder problems that has forced me to ground 5 or 6 flights. And they're still more than LBFC at $90 an hour.

But hey, my instructor was awesome. But he's leaving too, lol.

I stick to mostly Friday / Saturday flying. Anything that I have written up on a Friday night has been fixed by Saturday. Nothing major, flaky transponder once (they replaced it with a new NARCO....But I hate using the "push, rotate, push, rotate" Narco...but hey it works and is brand new). Had a short in stobes in one before a night flight....Fixed. I think the only other was a captive lock fastner on the cowl was no longer captive. All fixed quickly.

If I had anything to gripe it would be the limited parking at prime hours....

Or both of you can do it in my buddy's g1000 c172 w/me :-) I'm actually working the LGB/FUL area as a freelance instructor....
