Logging Simulator time in Logbook Pro

Flying the Duchess.
I've just transferred my 1843.7 hours and 33 different aircraft from my Jeppesen paper logbook into Logbook Pro :clap:what a PITA...
Naturally not everything comes out the same. The main discrepancy surrounds the logging of simulator time. In LP the aircraft input options have a check box for simulator. I'm assuming this is provided only for level C or D sims. For inputting my time in a full motion King Air simulator I used the airplane category and multi-engine class designations for this "aircraft" in LP and checked the simulator box. The class designation has an option for "none" which I'm wondering if I should have used. Perhaps it is meant for FTD's? Anyway, in my logbook I did not log the time as multi-engine just total flight time and simulator time, but in LP it comes out as multi-engine time too. I'm starting to think that this would be correctly logged since a full motion sim is log-gable that way. At least I think it is.
Any thoughts???

It's not. "Flight time" needs to be in an "aircraft" (both of which have FAA definitions coming from FAR 1 and 61.1) and the very best super-duper full motion simulator is simply not an aircraft (unless, I guess, you are flying it on the way down after someone tossed it off a roof :) )

Sorry, can't help with the LP-specific issue but if LP counted it as ME time or flight time of any kind, sounds like user error to me.

Thanks for the clarification. I've corrected both logbooks, the paper one by making an adjustment subtracting that sim time from total and simulated instrument time. It is only logged as "simulator" time and nowhere else. I accomplished the same thing in LP by checking the "none" class designation when adding the simulator as an "aircraft". Then I made sure to not have anything in the flight time categories or the landings box. I'm pretty sure I can log the approaches flown regardless whether it is in a sim or aircraft so I did that.

I log my LOFTs and PCs as just a sim with simulator time. When I applied for my ATP, I just went back and added the sim time in the appropriate places on the 8710. I don't think I have it set up as an "aircraft" in LBP. I just enter it by hand since I don't really need it for totals on the "by aircraft" breakdown sheet.
