Logbook Re Write

After some errors and some bad advice, I've decided to re write my entire logbook. I'm working as a 135 SIC who is PIC qualified, although I do not receive a 135.297 check every six months. I had been told by a captain that logging PIC while I was in the left seat (we switch legs) was perfectly acceptable and that I should do it. I've found out that he was wrong. My question is, when I rewrite it, can I, or SHOULD I, log the part 91 (repositioning) legs as PIC or SIC? What would a 121 employer want to see? I want my logbook to reflect my left seat time without misrepresenting myself.

If you are in the left seat, and actually acting as PIC, and appropriately rated, log it as such. If there is legal reasons why you can't (a .297 ride), then you already have your answer. A 91 leg didn't require that.

No matter what seat you sit in, if you haven't signed for the plane then you're not the acting PIC of that flight. However, if you're the sole manipulator of the controls and you're qualified and rated in the aircraft, then you can log Part 61 PIC as the sole manipulator of the controls. Just make sure to CLEARLY mark that in your logbook. I do that as a 135 SIC to show my experience actually flying a high performance multi engine airplane. If a job asks how much 135 PIC I have then the answer is zero because I don't have the PIC check ride.
