Weather seems ok.

It was at the airport but we had a massive low north of the island last night that pulled a ton of weather across the state. That said, the line wasn't that far east yet at 0730utc. The channel between Maui and Hawaii is one of the roughest out there. You get all kinds of crazy wind shifts around the volcanoes and at night there is absolutely no light.

There was another aircraft going the opposite direction that reported seeing lights spiraling down through the cloud deck. They did one orbit around the area at the request of HCF. USCG is reporting finding am oil slick and "aircraft parts" this morning but no other details.

Pitch dark out there, like flying down a well, no moon last night, cloud cover, plus crazy winds and turbulence on the lee side of the volcanoes. Like mountain flying at night in poor weather. Very scary if you're not up to it. One of the outfits is single pilot, the other uses two. Got some friends flying for them.....

3 people on board. Not sure if they fly with two pilots and a flight nurse, or one pilot and a nurse and paramedic.

I don’t know what drives it, but I’ve never heard of an operation in or out of CAMTS that didn’t run 2 med crew. Even the sketchball operation that had the Navajo wreck trying to go to Seward a couple years back was running with 2 med crew, though they may have been EMT/medic rather than the more usual nurse/medic. Even if many flights the second person reads a book 90%+ of the flight they won’t go without them

Chest compressions are tiring, you need a buddy to swap out
