Lesson plans

Hi, I'm new to the forum and am working on initial CFI. I noticed some people recommending the Jepp lesson plans. What Jepp lesson plans? I have the flight instuctor manual (hard cover), and the flight instructor syllabus (soft wire bound). Are you referring to the syllabus, which is written in a lesson plan format, or am I missing something? Appreciate any input.

Jeppesen makes the Private Pilot kit, and quite a few flight schools use the Jepp PVT kit, whether it be Part 61 or 141 school. This is basically an "all inclusive kit", with syllabus, manual, maneuvers guide, and numerous other little items. Check at a pilot shop and they'll be able to show you a kit.

Good luck on your binder. Do a search for lesson plans and binders, etc. There's tons of information on this. Safe flying.

I have never heard of the Jepp lesson plans. There is a good book of lesson plans out there, I reference it everyonce in a while. I forget who the author is though (at the airport). The book is great for your part 61 studs.

Check out SkyguyEd's website. He has it listed on his profile. He the man.

Good luck on your initial.
