Landed!

All the landings I've done before yesterday were half the instructor helping me. I was finally able to do a few landings on my own during the lesson! Damn, when they say flying takes concentration they are NOT kidding. For now, landing takes each bit of processing power my brain has. But nevertheless, I thought it was an amazing feeling to be able to do it practically alone.

Congrats on that huge accomplishment!!!

For now, landing takes each bit of processing power my brain has.

It still does for me. Actually, when my brain relaxes, the "quality" suffers. Think of all the concrete patching those poor Koreans had to do last year....:laff:

Congrats to you for the great work. One of the greatest satisfactions I get out of instructing is when the student makes his first unassisted landing.

It is truly a great feeling.

Another one of mine was when I did my first night flight. It was really calm, hardly any wind. Every landing I had that night I just greased. I was on cloud nine the whole time!

thats awesome man!

I had a really nice landing on my first one, and I thought my instructor had really helped me on that one, I didnt even notice until the climb out that his hands were up in the air and his feet pulled in next to the seat. He just looked over and smiled and said, "feels good doesn't it?"

it was awesome!

congrats again!

Must feel great!

When you're done with it, keep that concentration in one of your front pockets. Someday you're gonna need it again.
