Boeing Company San Diego, California: San Diego,California,United States ADPZP5 This is a Long Term Assignment to Kuwait for up to 3 years. Relocation benefits from the base work location (or current living location) to the international location will be provided. This will also include repatriation benefits back to the U.S.This position provides Contractor Instructor Services to the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) as part of a Foreign Military Sales contract. Provides flight, simulator, and academic instruction to KAF pilots in customer-owned F/A-18 aircraft. Conducts familiarization, qualification, upgrade, standardization, flight, and ground instruction in support of customer courses ranging from CAT I to advanced training, including air-to-air gunnery, air-to-ground strike, day/night in-flight refueling, and day/night low level training. Maintains aircrew training materials and courseware. Assists the customer operations and training staff in development of aircrew instructional philosophy, syllabi, evaluation criteria, and approaches for standardizing training materials, delivery, and training standards. Performs as Subject Matter Expert for courseware maintenance support. Assists the KAF in building operational aircraft, employment, and weapons briefings to support KAF continuation training. Establishes qualifications and training standards. Primary training site is at Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait. Deploys to other sites in and out of the customer country at customer discretion to support training operations. Accompanies senior customer representatives to international F/A-18 related conferences at customer discretion. International travel may be required to attend NATOPs and safety related conferences on behalf of the customer. Job requires completion of appropriate KAF F/A-18 requalification training if not current in the aircraft, and graduation from the KAF Instructor Under Training syllabus. Job requires compliance with NATOPs 3710.7U standards including recurring swim physiology and hypoxia training. Must meet F/A-18 NATOPS/OPNAVINST 3710.7U (section 8.3.2.18) Anthropometric Requirements for duty in an ejection seat aircraft.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.Typical Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):- A current active Secret U. S. Security Clearance- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance post start- Minimum of 800 hours Pilot-In-Command or Instructor Pilot time in the F/A-18 aircraft- Must have flown the F/A-18 aircraft within the last 36 months (24 months preferred)- Must be able to obtain work visa depending on requirements of the country- Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country as applicable - The employment will be contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country- Since you may be placed on an international assignment, your offer is contingent upon your ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which you will be assigned. These clearances are also a contingency for any family members who may be relocating with you. - Ability to recognize and appreciate cultural differences- Pilot wings attained through a US Navy- or Marine Corps-approved undergraduate pilot training program. Completion of US Navy or Marine Corps F/A-18 qualification training. PREFERRED:- Bachelors degree or higher- A current active Top Secret U. S. Security Clearance- 8 or more years military flying experience- Preferred experience includes: F/A-18 Fleet Replacement Squadron Instructor Pilot; F/A-18 Division Lead; Top Gun Weapons and Tactics Instructor; AMRAAM Instructor; Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System Instructor.To be considered, applicants must include a resume with their job submission.
