Don't forget that they have crashed one or two each year for the last few years. Actually lost a few lives from what I remember. I think one was a cheif pilot and a "student" due to a flat spin?

Also had two crash into each other on the ramp at DEN. That was funny watching them pick up all the shreds after the prop ate up the fuselage of the other aircraft. They are sitting out at the fire trainer right now.

That's good to know. I was just about to respond to their ad for a captain position on climbto350.

If they're getting at least 3 times the lower going rates for SIC pay rather than paying someone 20-30 bucks an hour, they outa invest in a safer operation.

Then again...anyone who does that outa rethink their whole operation all together.

Ask them if you need to have your MEI current? :)

Also ask if you get to keep the money that the FO is paying in addition to being paid to get their plane from A to B.

Not a bad deal then if that is how it is.

Doubt it though!

Run away!!! Key Slime is a sham. I know a few folks that went there VERY briefly and ran far far away.

Poor mx would never be an issue with me...I wouldn't ever get to that point because I can't understand how they can charge you more than most first, second, and third year pilots make per year to fly in admittedly more dangerous conditions than most other pilots. How do they sleep at night?

Probably pretty well!

You can't fault them for giving people what they want. The real question should be to those who buy into these things - how do THEY sleep at night :).

When I was CFI'ing in the four corners area Key Lime had pretty bad rep.

Oh it might not be fair, but I can.lol. Just because they're giving idiots what they want doesn't make it ok.

Ignorance is bliss right? They prolly sleep like babies having no idea what they are in for when they have 700 hrs and can't get a job that makes a quarter of what they've paid to follow their dream. That and because they're probably worn out after all the work they're going to be doing.

Sounds like it's deserved.

Key Lime = Bad Freakin' News !

They used to have a Metro that was in KDRO all the time when I was in that area. I remember looking that thing over once and will always remember the fresh Duct Tape N number on the aft part of the fuselage.

They suck. If you value your life and the lives of your family (who may or may not miss you when you are gone) ignore them.

Yeah but the stories that guy told were great!

I think I'm gonna go to Key Lime Pie. I like danger!!!!!! Bring it on. I'll fly a paper shopping bag with wings if it has two screws burning on keronsene!!!!!!!!! Byyaaaa!

Not sure if this is true but I heard that recently they took off from Jeffco and their yoke was wired incorrectly. The story I got was that the cables were installed backward or something. I guess when they pulled back on the yoke the nose went down, pushed forward and the nose goes up. They took off and ended up making it back to the airport.

Anyone else heard this?
