I think it might be helpful for a list of acronyms and abbreviation meanings. I know when I first started reading this site, which was not that long ago, I felt very lost and still come across things I do not understand. Things like IOE and DPE and many others I can not think of right now had me using the search and google to find a definition. I finally broke down and asked what they meant.

Could help other noobs get past the initial culture shock of the JC community.

So long as people stay on topic, I don't see why not.

I wouldn't suggest it be sticky here in the Gen Topics, but down in the Archive.

Thanks everyone! This will definitely help noobs like myself understand more conversation and hopefully allow us to become active, contributing members of the board quicker.

Just give it some time though before making requests for what "XXX" means. I'm sure as the west coast crowd starts getting on we'll have a few pages of abbreviations to help you guys out.

I think it should be stickied in the member announcement section. Since that is where you have to make your initial post most are likely to see it and read it. Just my .02 though.
