Jumpseat agreements...or lack therof

I am simply doing some research, so I hope you can help me find an answer. I have heard from a pretty reliable source that there are some carriers that will allow active 135 flight crew an empty seat in the back, even if the company doesnt have a reciprical jumpseat arrangement. Is this true? I work for a 135 non sced without any agreements. I am doing some preliminary research into the subject. How would a non sced carrier go about setting something up?? How can you find out the names and contacts for JS coordinators at carriers? Any ideas guys? Thanks

You will need to nominate someone to be your jumpseat coordinator first
Have them sign up at the ALPA Jumpseat website below

being you are a non-sked with no published schedule you will have little sucess in getting agreements as you cannot reciprocate. You may get luck at Southwest and some other freight companies...

Is you company in CASS? If not, that will be another strike against you.

Yeah, I kind of figured that would be the case, we have nominated a JS coordinator to do some research, but being non sced, and non union, I figured we would have little luck...

You never know until you try. I've been surprised what some of my friends have pulled off over the years.

Do you have an employee badge?

That'll go a long way. LCCs are more apt to space a seats. Non existent for mainline.

AirTran is good about this, and I know when I was at Wings Air (135), we had guys get on USAirways a good bit and go places...so it can be done.

Yes we have crew badges. Thats why we are looking into this, we know the jumpseat is out of the question, but we are looking into seats in the back already flying empty, and/or mabye some discounted flights similar to ID90's i think they are called.

That is kind of what I was looking for, will start with those two.
