Hello Fellow Aviators,

Just wanted to pass some info out to fellow pilots here. Next Saturday June 11th, there is a pilot job fair being held at the Sheraton Gate in Atlanta, Georgia from 10am to 6pm. Below is the website for the fair information, registration and the airlines that are attending, some of the regionals are doing on the spot interviews.

I am from Virginia, but I am flying out to visit the fair for sure. I am low timed with about 350 TT with 70 ME but I wanted to go just for the experience, networking and of course you never know a miracle can happen. However, since this is my first time going to a job fair, I would like to know what I can expect as far as interviews if someone on this forum has been to any of these similar type fairs. But I did want to pass this on to some people who might be in the market for jobs. Good Luck and appreciate some feedback. Regards

Unless they're coupling it with a networking function, I seriously wouldn't waste the money or time.

The registration fee is north of $100. I met the guy who is organizing it -- he's a "southernjets" guy and seemed nice, for what it's worth.

I seriously can't believe we're NOT doing on-site interviews. We need people like yesterday. Then again, we need sim instructors more than we need FOs right now....

I enjoyed it. Scott Rehn did a good job (IMHO--after going to TWO job fairs now). The on-site interviews were a new twist, I gather, and did not turn into full-fledged ASA interviews (minus the sim) for anyone, as the interview team was manning the booth, too. I was blessed to complete the first part of the ASA/Expressjet interview --looking forward to the call for the rest of it. It is always good to meet airline recruiters and some other JC'ers. Being yourself in-person helps to make your paper application more relevant. Now, to study the gouge again--don't want to blow this opportunity.

Was it packed or a light turn out.
