jetBlue Pilots New Payrates!!

You should sit closer to BB in church.

You're not picking up how he does business.

Should be easy enough...pretend your one of his kids!

Yeah minus being on Hot Reserve the last three Sundays, I havent been in church. Perhaps its time to tell the fiance to sit closer.... :)

Yeah, most of JetBlue's newhires come from the regionals, some from military.

Yeah, I've got my stuff in, but I'm not holding my breathe with all the major guys furloughed right now. Gotta be in it to win it, though. I've got about 3 internal recs from pilots that fly there now that I flew with here at Pinnacle, but from what I hear, internal recs don't help that much at jetBlue.

I didnt know they were hiring

Sadly, I think it's more of a "who you know" deal... I've been told they do help in final selections, but not so much for the first call.

and yes, they are "not" hiring. clearing the pool now, but I have been told 190 classes this fall.

Uhhh.....YEAH! Shoot when I get the time JetBlue is on the top of my list, (along with Southwest of course). I would love to based at home. Not srue about Allegiant tho....even though SFB is basically Orlando too! :D

The way I look at it is this: would I rather be at Pinnacle for several years before I get a job at jetBlue, SWA or one of the other carriers, or would I rather be at Allegient. It's a no brainer for me. Flying for XJ, it's a bit of a toss up for you. :)

I see the logic in that. Ive come to realize that I HATE training events! So going from airline to airline would give me a headache. For QOL reasons I can understand though. Being based at home with Allegiant, waiting for the doors to open at Southwest or Jetblue does make sense.

As for XJ yeah things are good here for me...so far. Delta is talking about parking 10 SAABs starting in September. If we are overstaffed (like they say we are) and with the SAAB reductions in the fall, I could be looking at a furlough. We'll see though, right now im just glad I have a job.

GO MAGIC!!

For me, it's more about moving on to a company that treats you better than the cockroach you found in your kitchen at 2 am. I WAS thinking about selling the house and moving to MCO, but with the new pass benefits, I'd never make it on a flight since everyone and their retired parents would bump me off a mainline flight. So, I'm living in MEM until either the pass benefits get fixed or the phone rings.

That sucks, man. I hope things pull through.

I must say I love working for jetblue and im only in ops in long beach. I am thinking about doing the program through capeair then coming up through the ranks. It looks good for the company this year as we already had a good Q1 and are taking more deliveries of planes than expected. I was talking to our chief pilot the other day and things look good for the future.
