Any idea about the starting salary?

They have a scale now...a few years ago it was 55K/yr to start. I believe it's around 60K/yr. Not sure

Well, an apartment in Queens is roughly 100% higher then an equivalent in say Plano, TX (middle income Dallas)... Then you have to consider the cost of getting to and from work, not to mention implied value of your personal time, of which a significant part will be spent commuting.

I'm naturally wired against urban living, though, so my opinion may be a bit skewed.

Still, 60k to start is certainly a workable number. Comparatively speaking its the equivalent of about $40k in the Dallas area.

You can definitely get buy in queens with 55k or 60k. Astoria is a bit pricier then the rest of queens but definitely liveable thing are higher like car iinsurance, electric but it all evens out in the end.

Nothing like urban living. You can skip the wife, picket fence, lawn mower, and •. Bars can be walked to, and fun is continuous.

I hear they want a class to start on January 28. That seems a little optimistic but wondering if anyone can confirm this for me. Also wondering when they will start sending out invites for interviews. The posting on their website has been up longer then past postings which to me seems like maybe they need quite a bit of candidates.

I got some news that they didn't approve positions from the board yet? That true? My source does work for JetBlue but just wanted to confirm this......

That can't be right because they wouldn't have posted the openings yet. Last I heard, there were a ton of applications that made it through the vetting process, next step is for interviews but this blizzard is delaying it.

I was thinking the same thing. Why post something if it's no approved. Thanks !
