Ok first of all the stuff is the article is freaking hilarious. You've gotta read this one.

Second the facebook comments are even better. Below:

Despite the stupidity of the article, I've had more RAs at HPN than anywhere else, other than Allentown, NY. Until I got to Hawaii. But that's a different story.

A passenger, Megan Sikorski, tells WABC-TV that as the JetBlue plane shot upward in a defensive maneuver......

Sikorski says she buried herself in her mother's lap and clutched another passenger.

All I can think about is a 4G pull into a roll. Or this scene when she grabbed other passengers

  • If such a collision occurs it is unlikely that passengers or crew will survive to tell the tale. Unless the terrorists claim credit we probably will not know that it was deliberate.
If it is discovered to have been an act of terrorism, through Muslim boasts or evidence found, every mosque in the U.S. should be laid waste.
  • The way this article was written implies the Jet Blue pilots made two maneuvers to avoid collision with the rogue aircraft. This interpretation suggests a possible dry run.
  • Of course someone knows what plane it was and who owns it. All aircraft registered in the US have "N" numbers and they can be quickly traced to the owner. In addition, aircraft in a controlled airspace is speaking to ATC and uses their tail number on every transmission. DM - I will be happy to be your aviation correspondent as I promise you that I'll "get it right."
  • I have operated out of Chicago’s Midway, and once departure sent me off on a heading and altitude that took me right into one of the arrival gates (a fix in the sky) for ORD. Happily I saw the oncoming conga line of heavy iron in plenty of time to divert, but I was not happy with what could have happened.
Upon further research, it turns out that it is very difficult to find the current arrival routing that is used based on local ATC custom. These are not published in places that pilots can get their hands on reliably
  • Still looking for D.B. Cooper.
  • Find those 'joy riders' and screw them down to earth forever!!!
  • Looks like our passenger planes are gonna need these...

I swear reader comments are evidence that democracy has failed and we need someone to keep people from trying to eat their own hands as a food source.

This is the voting public. It's just a matter of time before a Tea Bagger will be in the White House.

I'd make a terrible newscaster.

"A jetBlue crew responded to a RA today, and then nothing. For more dramatic coverage, please continue consuming your regular diet of FaceTwitAgram hype. Be sure not bother with any of those pesky and ridiculous independent thoughts you may have. And as always, go buy some stuff from our sponsors!"

I'm glad I'm not the only one this happens to.
