I recently got a slot to train to be a second officer this May. Ive been getting bad raps from the guys I fly with in my local FBO...calling me a sellout (jokingly). What is more important between the two? Ive been looking around foreign major carriers and the time requirements isnt much on PIC but equipment. Is it the same here? The way the trend is in terms of hiring...which is the best way to go?...Im only doing the second officer route in order to get the type rating faster...is this better or should I teach and go regionals? Someday i want to go back here in the US to fly for the majors here...im only going foreign as a stepping stone...will this be an advantage for me?..
