Jeppesen Pre-Study and Enrollment?

Does anyone have any recommendations on how long ahead of time one should enroll in the standard Jeppesen 6-week course to have sufficient time to do their pre-study?

Also do their classes fill up fast? Just wondering when I should sign up for either the March 14 or May 9 start dates. Not sure how far in advance they typically close enrollment or if every class has enough students to be held. (I haven't decided on Jepp yet but I am leaning towards that program).

Any input or info in general that might be of interest to someone finally ready to take the plunge is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You can always call Jepp and ask how full the class is and that might give you an idea.

There is never anything wrong with studying ahead, even if you opt for the May class.

You may not feel as rushed and can study at a more reasonable pace.

The downside is you have to be willing to set aside that time to actually study

I signed up a few months before my class start date and began studying about one month before. As soon as you give them your deposit, Jepp will mail you a flight bag filled with all the course material, which includes the Gleim ATP test prep software. That was the best tool for me to prep for the written. It was a lot of books in that flight bag...don't let it overwhelm you. If and when you decide to take the plunge, PM me and I'll help you figure out what to focus on for pre-study.

I'd recommend contacting jeremy.vincent@jeppesen.com for specific questions on class loads and recommendations on when to sign up for the class you are looking at.

Jeremy was a huge help when it came to questions about the classes, I know the november classes filled up about a month prior to the start date and I had to opt for the January class. Been pretty heavy in weather and the Gleim online ADX test prep, we'll see how far it goes.
