Jeppesen/Boeing Dispatcher 3 up again

Though it isn't a 121/135 operation, this is a great place to experience some unique dispatching. ETOPS, mostly international, and a totally different pace than a major. We are looking to hire a handful of dispatchers for different desks. Jeppesen was recently absorbed into the Boeing Global Services sector. So the benefits are Boeing. Other changes to come this year.

Located in Denver at the headquarters. Can work from home some days. Non-Union and no flight benefits. Lots of experience as you get a mix of ETOPS, NAT, PACOTS, and anything all over the world. Basically you are a contract dispatcher.

Sounds great, I saw 2 different job locations Denver CO. And Gary IN. What is the starting pay in both places. Maybe a good idea to add it the the Dispatcher payscale spreadsheet, too.

The pay would be the same for both places. There is no set starting pay. Its based off of previous experience, interview, education and other factors. Jeppesen isn't exactly transparent about their pay scales for each classification (Dispatcher 2, Dispatcher 3. Dispatcher 4, etc). But there is a pay band. Word is they are assessing "current industry pay scales" and adjusting soon. I can say that starting pay (bottom of the scale) at Dispatcher 3 is comparable to starting at most majors as an assistant dx. You get a bonus every year based on company profits. They have shift differentials for mids and overnights as well. So you can make more if you work those shifts.

The Denver job is working for Jeppesen. The Gary IN job is working for Boeing in the flight department. The pay bands are correct. Dispatcher 2 can make more than a Dispatcher 3 due to this. The bonus is based on how well Boeing did the previous year and your time in the company. Shifts were 4 on 3 off. Used to be 2 different parts either Military flights or Commercial side. You are either one or the other.

Technically both jobs positions work for Jeppesen. In Gary, you are contracted to the Boeing executive flight operations department, dispatching the Boeing executive's BBJs (737). There is a group of individuals on that contract who work in Denver as well. There are currently 2 different military desks, with a third on its way. The current posting is for backfill. They are looking to send one person to IN, and have the rest split between the military desks. Airframes on those contracts vary greatly.

Ah I see. I predicted that. Boeing was going to need a full time Jepp person there but was told that would never happen. Like they did with Netjets back in the day. Good luck to all. Good experience to be had

Thank you both for the job details and pay info. Any good tips on what you should study for, If you get a face Interview? Besides common ADX Q's. Thanks again. Sounds like a Great career opportunity.

The phone interview is an opportunity to get to know the operation and a chance for you to share a little bit of your background. It is very informal. Just relax and ask questions if you have any. The in person has a few technical questions based on basic domestic dispatching and international policy (NATS, station codes etc). There are scenario based questions, some customer service, the others dispatch orientated. Most of the questions are, "Tell me about a time..."
