Hi, Im spanish guy desperate triying to find a school in US wich provide JAA training or courses for international students up to 1000h flying time, without do any conversion. Thats a very important point. As i dont live in the US is very difficult to choose the proper schoold cos I have no idea how they are.. I just can see the webs and nothing else. So could anyone give me a hand? Please anyone knows any? any recommendation or suggestion?
Thank you very much guys.

PS: I will appreciate any honest opinion.

Hi, welcome to JC....

There's a couple of folks that are doing JAA programs that will be able to send you in the right direction!!

make sure you check out the JAA forum!!

Welcome Aboard again!! great to have another European online!! :)

And Spanish jejeje :D

I directed him to General Topics , because it has more traffic than the JAA, and he can get good feedback if he asks for specific schools here on this forum.

He's trying to get info about reputable schools in the US where you can get JAA licenses, and that's obviously hard just looking at their web sites.

Thank you Kristie. Well I hope this folks would like to give me a hand with this. I´m open to any suggestion or any recomendation. Here I leave my email if someone would like to get in contact with me, gerniedark@hotmail.com and tell me more about JAA schools and all this stuff. Thank you very much again.
Never thought that this forums could be so helpful ;)

Since all the schools in the US are approved by the CAA in the UK (to the best of my knowledge), I'd suggest you get a list from them. They probably have a list available online.

The schools that immediately come to mind would be:
1. Orlando Flight Training, Kissimmee, Florida, and associated directly with a UK school
2. European Flight Training, also in Florida (Stuart, I believe)
3. Naples Air Center, also in Florida (Naples, of course)

Check out the flight training forum at pprune.com.
But realize most people commenting at pprune are rather negative about flight training in America.

Good luck.

I would stay far FAR away from Naples Air Center. I made some comments in the JAA forum.

I´ve been looking around Orlando Fligth Training and European Fligth Training. They both look pretty nice cos they have both programs up to 1500hours of flying time. But I would like to know any direct opinion from someone who has been there doing hes training, cos seeing just the webs it´s difficult to make a choice. Anyone whos has been there? And what about the conversion process? Is it hard?
There isn´t any european student like me in the whole US with the same problem? Or trying to find a school with JAA training?
Any honest oppinions are welcome.

Thank you very much again guys. :insane:
