Put together my W-2s from last year to send to the accountant for my taxes. I recieved my commercial pilot certificate in April of last year, my CFI in May. I instructed from May to September, then was hired by Colgan in September and started training in October and then started flying the line in November. Guess how much I grossed my first year as a CFI, then a regional airline pilot in training, then one flying the line. This is from the months May to December?

BEFORE taxes were taken out I grossed $8891.40...
 
Wow, I made more than that just working the ramp for 5 months last year. But then again I work 70+ hours a week and have no life.
 
wait...you have an accountant and you made less than 9G's last year???? Are you gonna have to borrow money to pay them;)

Right there w/ yah, Seggy! But I started instructing in Feb......rest of year same as you. Think I beat you by about one thousand.....so pathetic! I've never been poorer than I am now. Here's to having a GF to live w/ otherwise I'd be dumpster diving behind Sears for some appliance boxes to live in.

I just bought a new fridge the box is quite nice.
 
So depressing.
What is this plural ramen noodles? I believe it is one noodle per serving.
Seems there are more and more posts here about how sad our industry is.
 
It's funny cuz I fuel for a small grand canyon operator here (402's 207/206's), and I make more than a 3rd year FO at the regionals.
