$772,000 to Cover Underwater Mortgage on Home Sale
Richard Anderson of Delta Air Lines (DAL) may not make as much as the other CEOs listed, but he certainly has his share of corporate perks. Although he earns $2.25 million a year, Anderson relies on the company to cover a number of what could be considered personal costs. For instance, Delta paid Anderson $772,000 in relocation costs because his home in Minneapolis, which he needed too sell to move to Atlanta, was worth less than his mortgage. No doubt, a lot of Delta employees and shareholders are desperate to get out from under their underwater mortgages too.

Am I supposed to get all bent out of shape or something?

Yes, CEOs make an obscene amount of money and I don't think it's justifiable at all.

Now let me check my banking statement... Nope, didn't change any. Might as well go on about my day.

Yeah, but how much does Richard Dean Anderson make? A.K.A. Angus MacGuyver.

If I recall correctly, the MSNBC or CNN special report on American Airlines reports that their CEO is compensated around $600K annually.

The firm's 'steering wheel' is in this guy's hands; left turn he hits the rocks and collapses the company, right turn he clears it and adds value to his shareholders, employees, and is just doing his job well. Either way, he's a corrupt figurehead in the eyes of a big labor guy that makes too much money.

Easy for someone who's never had that responsibility to comment on.

Easy for you to talk big sitting behind a computer.
