Pilots are paid per flight hour as negotiated between the Air Line Pilots Association and the Company in accordance with the provisions of the Railway Labor Act. The Contract stipulates minimum pay of 70 flight hours per month, for both bid-line and reserve status. Current First Officer first year pay is $33.84 per flight hour. All pilots are paid on the basis of scheduled block time or actual block times whichever is greater.

REPORTS TO: VICE PRESIDENT - FLIGHT OPERATIONS
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the aircraft as directed by the Pilot-in-Command and company approved procedures. Assures that the flights he/she participates in are operated in compliance with Company policy and procedures and the Federal Aviation Regulations. Assists or relieves the Captain of the flight controls of an aircraft while underway including takeoff and landing. Acts as Second-in-Command of the aircraft and, as such, assumes the duties of the Pilot-in-Command should the Captain become incapacitated or unable to perform these duties. Assists the Captain and/or passenger service personnel as needed to ensure a prompt departure. Completes aircraft walk-around to ensure the fueling door is closed. Maintains knowledge of the materials in all assigned manuals and inserts all revisions in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 1500 hours Total Fixed Wing Flight Time
- 200 hours Multi Engine Time, Fixed Wing
- Airline Transport Rating (ATP) with Multi Engine and Instrument ratings
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Current Valid Passport (Optional)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States of America
- Able to pass security background check and FAA mandated drug test
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and speak English language
- At least 100 hours logged in the preceding six months
- Current flying job
- 121/135 flight experience
- 4-year college degree
- Recommendations from Island Air pilots who can attest to applicant's flying skills
