Is this what you meant by an \"eratic autopilot\"

I would think this is the auto pilot but I wouldnt know for sure. I've never seen a video where the ailerons were all over the place like that.

the author's comment is "Pilot was fighting the wind all the way down". But still would the ailerons move that much?

Must have been a pretty high crosswind component. If you look closely, it looks as though there's alot more deflection from the inboard ailerons, and no where near is much as the outboard ailerons. I don't think that the inboard ones have near as much effect as the outboard ones.

Interesting. I wonder if that camera counts as an "electronic device" not to be used below 10,000...

Wow....I had no idea those things did that. Can't see the wing at all from the cockpit on a 767.

I think those things that were flapping all over the place were the spoilers, NOT the ailerons.

Sure, they can look like that. At least they did when it was gusting to 50 while flying the Saab. Those are the flight spoilers and the inboard aileron which is/are moving. Remember, at slow speeds it takes more control deflection to gain a movement result than it does at Mach .80.

At first I thought that the title of this thread was "erotic autopilot".

I started thinking about the scene in "Airplane" where the F/A had to re-inflate the auto-pilot.
