Or did he get straight after landing hard on the main landing gear? I really cant tell...

they only build them well because they know they land bad

I preferred landing a Piper to landing a Cessna. Especially the Arrow. Once I got that airplane dialed in, it was stupid easy to consistently put it down both right on a point and softly, at the same time.

I hated the arrow maybe thats the 1500hr difference between the two. While each could take a beating it always seemed that the sprung steel on the 172 did better then the olio struts on the pa28
