Is Pictometry still around?

Hello, many moons ago I flew for Northern States Aviation doing Pictometry imaging flights. I heard the owner sold the company a while back, but was wondering if any other Picto vendors were still around. A friends kid is building time and wanted to look into survey flying. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Ooooh so now you must say how many moons ago because I too flew for NSA many moons ago.

It appears to still exist. Pictometry vendor SkyLens is apparently still in operation and plans to start accepting applications for the coming season next month: Pilot Employment
If your (sweeps) friend is aiming for SkyLens, they have a Facebook page where they announce hiring windows. They tend to be real short as it attracts a lot of apps.

I know you don't need the lecture, but the owner makes a point of saying anything that doesn't follow instructions to a T gets thrown in the trash. I've heard plenty of positives from acquaintances who've landed the job.

A couple years ago I interviewed with EagleView and received an offer. They seemed like really good people. I might still have the interview notes around somewhere if your friend gets to that point. It was pretty straightforward.

I was at Landcare 08-09...I knew a few are on here lurking that were there with me. We crossed paths with large projects so I flew with a bunch of NSA and Air America pilots....those 7 months were crazy, welp it's raining and were in New Orleans for the next 3 weeks....what do you want to do....hilarity ensued

No. Since 2016, science and even science-y names have left 'Murica. Where you hanging out?
