Is it possible to load a T-route into the Garmin 400/430/530?

Flying inside the TFRs
I was asked to fly T304 Southeast of Portland the other day and had to manually enter the appropriate fixes to fly the course. I think that is the only way to do it with the 400w. Am I wrong?

On a related note, why am I never issued T-routes in Socal despite being /G and being given the same fixes (SLI272/SMO125)?

Sadly, you're correct. The earlier Garmin stuff doesn't understand airways- period- so the only way to do anything is by putting in the waypoints manually. Not a big deal in a Cessna, but a HUGE PITA in a Lear, especially on the east coast!

"But I want direct!"
