I am anxiously awaiting my iPhone (ordered online night before last) and am wondering about crew logs. I'll be using it for my daily flight logging and exporting .csv for LogBook Pro. Anyone tried either the FltCrew iLog (iphone's "little red book") or LogTen's Mobile?

. . . and, Ophir et al, none of that "switch to to Mac, ditch the PC." I've heard it all before and just can't do it yet. . . :banghead: :D

FltCrew iLog is useless. It crashed on my everytime I used it, and there was no way to back it up to a computer or anything.

LogTen Pro is real good program!

Only one problem though.....You gotsa have a Mac to be able to sync! :D

(as far as I know)

LogTen Lite! Its 20 bucks and you can easily export to CSV for Log Book Pro (thats what Im using too). No crashes and really easy to enter all the information.

Here is the scoop on returns and logten.

I bought log ten lite FO for 20 bucks and I did like it however I sent them an email regarding how can I log PIC time since I do other flying besides just 121. The answer from coradine is that you cant. He then told me that if you go to support in itunes you can report a problem with your app and tell them you simply ordered the wrong one. I did that, got a refund and then ordered the full version of log ten.

Here are the only real reasons why I am a fan of log ten full version

1. You can log SIC, PIC, SO, Dual Given, Dual Received and any other thing imagineable and customize it to which ones you want to see.

2. It tracks duty time as well as limiations. On a tab I can see my 24 hour, 7 day, 30 day, 365 day lookback of what I have flown to know where I stand.

It does alot more than that and is even better if you can run it through log ten pro that goes on a mac which I do not have.

I really only bought it since I just ran my last page in my little red book so figured if I have to buy one of those I may as well buy a program that will last much longer and do more for me. My next laptop will be a mac and even if thats two years from now as soon as my iphone gets near the mac it will auto sync two years of entries. You can still email the data as a .CSV file to backup if you have windows and then import that to a spreadsheet.

I really wanted the ilog logbook but the reviews are 80 percent negative so figured id save the 20 bucks.

If you do not care about logging anything other than just PIC or just SIC or other features save your money and buy the airline captain or first officer lite version. It will simply log the time as either SIC or PIC and thats it.
