Interview Questions?

Rockin out with my chocks out
Hi everypne, thanks for all the advice I have been getting on here, it has been invaluable! My next question is this as I prepare for a few important interviews I have in the coming weeks...

Please include your answer as well if not too personal and how it worked out. What are some of the hardest questions you have gotten for applying for a CFI job...or any flight job I suppose?

Thanks, I think this will really help prepare me.

One thing I hate is negative questions like "what did you not like about where you learned to fly?" Seriously, how do you answer that honestly?

You know to be honest - the best advice I've ever gotten that has amazingly, somehow worked was this: Just be yourself

So what if it's a negative question... you don't have to answer it negatively... for example: "What did you not like about where you learned how to fly?"

My answer... "well there isn't much not to like... they've been great with me, bending the schedule... flexible financial 'arrangements' - it's actually been a privilege to fly where I did - they really made it possible for me to do everything I needed to do...they're just really good people"

A lot of interviewers can see through BS - so dont' BS them.. just be honest... I honestly feel that way about the place I learned to fly.

Be prepared for the, "So are you going to go on to the airlines?" question if that is indeed your goal. I said that, although I didn't see myself becoming a career flight instructor, I wasn't sure what I ultimately wanted to do. Then I just talked about how excited I was to start instructing yadda yadda...

ah yes i dont like that question too because its like theyre mad you want to go on to bigger things in your career. everyone hates the time building cfi though who hates his job b/c he's burnt out with it and ready for airlines so i can understand it.
I know to be myself, that is good advice though. I am excited and nervous so I hope I am my relaxed self.
