It is an AATD, after talking on the phone with IACRA, they said it was a level 3.
Filling out a students application for a retest, it asks for the type of aircraft to be used. IACRA wouldn't accept just a AATD level 3, it also wanted an actual airplane. I talked with the examiner and he said he had seen that before, where someone had mistakenly put two aircraft in for the required test, he said he could just put "0" time in on the airplane and however long it took in the sim.
When he got to approving the applicant, IACRA still needed to know what type of AATD level 3 was used, and we tried many different searches both by type and by description, and never found it.
I am guessing IACRA will not recognize the Redbird FMX until someone there or the FAA inputs some information. We did the paperwork the old fashion way, on paper.
