I flew into ISN today and had a chance to talk to my old friend and local CFI out there. He mentioned there is or will be an opening for an additional CFI there. CFII is preferred but CFI is okay. No time minimums mentioned and needs to hold a current class 2. In addition to instruction/discovery flights, the CFI flies aerial photography flights and conducts air tour flights and in the very near future will be doing pipe line inspection. Sounds like it's been a very busy summer out there with lots of activity and it's going to get busier. They currently own a Cessna 172 (non glass) but will more than likely acquire a G1000 172 and possibly a 182. Additionally expect to teach people in their own planes from a Piper Cherokee to a Cirrus!! As far as pay is expected expect to earn between $35 to $41/hr for flight/ground instruction depending on experience plus with a base pay of $7200 a yr. As far as housing is concerned in this very expensive part of the country, housing will be provided by the company but you will be required to pay rent which is actually very very cheap for the area somewhere along the lines of no more than $700 a month. In comparison lots of other places are currently charging $1600 to $2500/mo for a single bedroom and or single apartment!!!! Seems like a great opportunity!
