Instructing at Ari Ben

Does anybody know the official story about getting a job instructing at Ari Ben, if you complete the professional pilot program?

Some of the threads here say you're guaranteed a job, but I don't really see how they can promise that to everybody. Somebody said in the last thread that there are 50 students in the program at any given time. How many instructors could they possibly need?

This is going to be the primary factor for me in deciding between Aviator and ATP. I've heard ATP has a wait of up to a year, but with only one location, I just don't see how Aviator can offer a job to everybody who completes the program.

Thanks for any input you all might have!

Well, not everyone that goes through the pro program wants to instruct for Ari when their done, a lot of people just want to go back to wherever their from and find work there or already have jobs lined up elsewhere.

The professional program is only a small part of Ari's enrollment, the majority of the students are there for add ons and time building, thats why they have the need for more instructors, and most of the instruction is done one on one.

and there is a high instructor turnover rate also, and poor instructors get weeded out pretty quickly

I am a former Aviator instructor. Look up my previous posts for information concerning your questions and others in general.

I recently took a trip down to Ari Ben. I was told by Ari and Mike that if you complete the program there they will start you off with 2 students. If you do well, they will keep you on. If not....Anyway, it seems like a real fair deal. I'll probably be attending there in June or July of this year.

$15/ Hr.

Generally between 60 - 100 Hrs./ Month into the log book. Depends on how good of an instructor you are and what your personal motivation is.

Is it feasible to actually pick up cash from another job with the school or even outside flying while not instructing after your finished with the pro program and just building hours ??

You bet.......Mike has all sorts of odd jobs for people to perform. It's a great way to pick up extra money if you need it......$10/Hr. Anything from painting the student housing to fueling aircraft, etc.......if you want to work, he's happy to help. Just remember, you're here to fly......the job should just be to "slow the bleeding" of funds from your bank account.
