Information on Hurricane Relief Flights to San Juan

Hi everyone,

Our company (small 135 outfit) was recently reached out to for providing some supply runs to San Juan. In the wake of all the devastation they've experienced, I'm not having a lot of success trying to figure out fuel availability.

Does anyone have any knowledge of who one could speak to about fuel and PPR given that the FBOs are unreachable by phone, etc.?

I was tasked with that job during Harvey. I talked to the EOC (emergency command center) for the airport. They either had or referred me to someone with the information I needed. It took 7 different phone calls to find out about fuel. Maybe this will help cut a couple of those out.

Thanks for the input! Only issue now is I'm not sure how to get ahold of the EOC for their airport. I imagine everything is being done by radio/satellite phone right now? I'll keep digging.

If this is run it like they did the Houston area right after Harvey, the airspace belongs to the USCG. Best if you contact their operations center and ask, first of all if they will allow you in. Then ask about fuel. They will know the availability of fuel and locations.

Try calling/e-mailing Bohlke aviation in St Croix, they're the largest FBO in the area and like dustoff said USCG.
