My girlfriend's daughter gave birth this morning to a bouncing baby boy. (No, I haven't been cruising the retirement homes for chicks, girlfriend is 37, daughter just turned 19.)

Holy crap, grandma at 37??? With the current trend in her family she will be a great grandma at 55-56! Yikes! :insane:

Yeah, well....poo-poo happens. Especially when raging teen hormones are involved. The new mom was on birth control, she just happened to fall into that <1% ineffectiveness rate. Word to the wise, kids: no birth control method is bulletproof.

Thanks for the congrats and well-wishes, baby and mom are doing fine. Mom and dad are still a little deer-in-the-headlights, but they'll get the hang of it before long.
