I have been looking for a COM-only transceiver for a while now that fits the bill and is reliable. Originally, I was going to get a NAV/COM but have been told to just save money and only get the COM. I've asked around a lot, and ICOM seems to have a better reputation than vertex even though they're another leading brand. Searching the forums gave me lots of information about the A6 but not the A14, which is probably because it's new. The A14 is a bit smaller and lighter, but has just a few less features than the A6. The size and weight of the A14 appeals to me though. Does anyone have any experience with the A14 or even the A6 for that matter, and which would you choose out of the two?
