ICAO CPL to FAA CPL Conversion

I am Holding a Philippines issued ICAO CPL with IR and 530 hours TT.
I want to get my license converted to FAA CPL.
I heard that i have to get FAA PPL then fly 3 hours or so. But the info that got is not clear and dont know how to obtain PPL using my ICAO CPL.
Please guide me the requirements and procedures involved. How many hours do i have to fly?

You will require at least the following : CPL written test, IFR written test, flight training to cover whatever discrepancies between your country and the FAA requirements, ground school and a check ride for you IFR rating and your commercial license (might be able to do both the same day but not on the same ride). NOT a walk in the park.
