I ruined a student's perfectly good shirt

Congrats on your first solo sign off. I was a nervous wreck during mine, our DPE said I looked like an expectant father.

It does get easier. Still, very fun. Checkride passes are my favorite

Posting for completeness: This same student—my first—just passed his private checkride at Tracy with stars and bells and horns and stuff. The examiner (Vince Nastro) had nothing but excellent things to say, so I'm very stoked. ^.^

I felt like a worried mother fox fretting up here in the crew lounge waiting for him to call or text.

I'm so proud of him! ^.^

Great job, Jeff!!

Uh...no...gawd...I hope not....

Congratulations on getting your student through!

You're working as both CFI and 135 pilot, yes?

Right now I'm just doing 135... but I finished him up before I came up here... just took a long time for him to get a spot for his checkride. Once this job ends in the fall, I'm going to head back to the bay and do more instruction, most likely.

Y'know - this strikes me as a particularly good methodology. You build 135 experience and alternately keep your CFI skills sharp.

Not that it matters, but I approve of such tactics. :)
