I love a rainy night...

Sorry for the bad country music quote...but I do love a good Texas thunderstorm.

Does RVRNO mean RVR = 0? We had some pretty heavy rain here - I had to go out and clear the drains in my backyard of debris so that our yard doesn't turn into a lake!

I have to agree. I love rainy nights. For once the weather in good Ole' New Hampshire is decent enough to go outside in a sweatshirt.

I think it's RVR not operational...maybe the transmissometers got flooded....

I like that word...transmissometer.

Do you know how many transmissometers are required for a CAT3b approach?

RVRNO means that RVR information is not available. Many times you will see TSNO which means thunderstorm information missing or not available.

If I'm not mistaken three transmissometers (agreed, cool word) are required for a Cat IIIb approach ... touchdown, mid, rollout. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Nothing wrong with a little Eddie Rabbitt either!
