Congrats!

Which model King Air?

They're great planes...I can't think of any other turboprop that I'd have rather started out in.

Thanks

I put in an application about a month ago, and twice since stopped in to see what was going on. Just got the call today. I have about 1250 hours, with 140 multitime. Last summer I was towing banners and was just about to start again tommorow. I might still tow if I get an off weekend here and there. I started my training at ACY in 2000 and have since added all the ratings up to Multi-commercial and have my ATP written. The FBO/135 op that I am starting with is also the place where my flying club's planes are tied-down. They also just hired someone that was flight-instructing at another airport somewhre here in NJ. I can't wait to start. I'll keep you guys updated, and post some pics once I start.

Cool, now I'm not the only one. If you have any questions about it, let me know. I went through training in the B100 back in late March/early April and have about 100 hrs. in the airplane so far. Who are you getting the training through?

Oh yeah, and a word of advice...get yourself a noise cancelling headset. Those friggin' Garretts are noisy!

I already have a set of Lightspeeds. I'll see how they work. My training will be in house. The chief pilot will be training me. I guess my only question at this point would concern flight profiles. Like, for instance, on a 1 hour trip, how high would you expect to climb. For a two hour trip, etc. I'll probably think of others. Thanks.

Saw 400AC in here the other day, said they may be comming back Monday, would that be your first trip

Not if it is this Monday. Maybe if it is next Monday, it just might be, but I suspect I will just be going in to finalize all the paperwork. But next time I am coming your way, I'll try to let you know.

It all depends. Less than an hour, like a repositioning flight, we'll hang down around 15k, but we'd probably be burning a bit over 600 pph (total). On a one hour trip, we'll go up to anywhere between 17k and FL200. Thats still less than 20 min. of climbing, and it gets us high enough so we're not guzzling gas too bad. Anything over an hour would depend on our weight and the winds aloft. The service ceiling is 31,000 but you'll find that you won't go that high (unless you have the -10's, but even then, its not really worth it, unless you're trying to top wx). In fact, highest I've been is FL270. Performance seems to be best in the low twenties. Hope that helps.
