Saw this Atlas whale up at Huntsville but it's already turned and headed back across the pond. Anyone have any idea what it's carrying? Just curious.

The pilots on these flights don't really know or care what they're carrying, unless it's hazmat or perishables . Otherwise, the only two questions are, "how much does it weigh? and "is it secure?" :)

I usually try to figure out what might be in the boxes as i do the main deck inspection, but thus far have failed. I guess I could always bust open the paperwork and find out.....but naaaaah, that takes all the mystery out of it ;)

FWIW, I've been told that the flow of goods is heavy on computers/electronics on this route's eastbound leg (goods originating in mexico) which gets exchanged for pharmaceuticals on the westbound leg. But it's almost always a big variety of stuff, I think it's pretty rare to get a 747 full of nothing but, oh say, Ipads. I haven't done the HSV-LUX leg but did the HSV-MEX-GDL-HSV run that feeds into it.

Just to expound on what Alchemy said, that jet is exclusively for Panalpina, which is a Freight Forwarder.

This has been a 20 year relationship that Panalpina terms "Dixie Jet"
