I took the at-sat back in august of 08 and was told that i cant take it again until 1 year has passed. it's getting close to being august again but i'm unsure about how to go about taking the test again? do i call someone? i tried to apply to another atc trainee position on the faa job listings but it says im not allowed to apply because i havent recieved a "job code." (i tried clicking on other faa related positions and i could apply to those just fine)
any info would help. thanks :)

If you're not a CTI graduate or Veteran controller or if you don't possess a CTO permit, then you'll have to wait for a PUBNAT announcement. Sounds like you applied to an announcement that was not a PUBNAT.

As far as retaking the test, I think you will have to wait for the next PUBNAT to come out, which is apparently some time in July.

I think that when it comes time to take the atsat for the next PUBNAT (if there is one) you will be notified on your ASAP page that you are selected to take the At-sat. I think you get an email tell you the time and date. I don't think it is something you can set up on your own. I may be wrong though...

Im in the same boat. I applied for pubnat5...took the test and scored 84.7

I just applied for pubnat8, but im not sure if they will let me re test or take my current atsat score??

I took the test on 1/12/09
So maybe I wouldnt be eligible to retest until 1/12/10??
If the FAA speeds this hiring process up I might be SOL and stuck w my lousy score?

Anyone have knowledge about this scenario?

As far as I know you are not allowed to test until at least 1 year after your previous attempt. You can always hope that they delay the testing til later, but all the other applicants might not be so happy if that turns out to be the case.

I took the AT-SAT on 03/19/2008. On 03/20/2009, the ASAP notified me I was eligible to retake the test. I took the test again the next time they scheduled it a couple of weeks ago.
