How to log dual given?

I'm asking here because I think it is read more.

So, how did ya CFIs log your first dual given, or endorsements?

Name, cert number, and expiration date are required. But on a new cert, the number is pending. Just the word Pending in place of the number?

That's weird, my temporary had my full CFI number... but it's just your commercial # followed by 'CFI', I'd put that if I were you.

Oh, and congrats

Like I said in the CFI corner, mine says pending because my pilot certificate number is my social security number. I was told by the FAA inspector that I took my checkride with to put pending as the certificate number when I sign logbooks and endorsements as my certificate number will not be my social security number, and it has not been assigned as I do not have the permanent certificate yet. If they are giving you a new certificate number which they are since it is pending, The certificate number is not the one on your pilot certificate, it is pending such as:

SUSPilot CFI pending Exp 5/06

Thanks guys. I didn't think a DPE could issue a new number, but I guess this is why it isn't an issue for most if they do. Just happens to be on mine, it is listed as pending.
