How quickly does ATP reimburse students?

From my understanding, students are expected to pay for their own expenses during the cross-country phase (ex. taxi rides). I know of two students who have completed career training and have yet to be reimbursed one cent. Is this common?

Nope, when I worked there if you chose to get reimbursed to a credit card it took a couple of days to see it on your account. But then you have the people that want cash, and that takes quite a bit longer.

Make sure to get every expense approved before you do it. "hotels included" on XC's usually means apartments even if you have to take a taxi 30 minutes after a 9-hour day to an overbooked apartment that has no food and is a mess.

If you have an approved expense, they normally pay you back pretty fast.

Reimbursement was usually pretty quick. About 3 days. I never had to spend money on a taxi; always got a ride from an instructor back to the apartments during the cross-countries if I was to stay overnight.

The only time I ever stayed in an ATP-provided hotel room was when I was airlined down to FLL for the CFI initial. At first I was getting my hopes up of having a room to myself. But it was double occupancy. Silly me. :D
