If you leave 2 months that should cover it, but I started 11/12 and it looks like I'll be done with van training by 2/1...so that's what, 2.5?ok so 6 weeks to 2 months would be a realistic guess? i am guess i also don't get to chose my A/C?
what does it cover? 135 regs and the A/C?
btw: will probably be applying in Feb, not 100% sure though
MSP but i guess anywhere is fine. i need to go somewhere my wife can get a job (special Ed teacher, so it shouldn't be too hard)If you leave 2 months that should cover it, but I started 11/12 and it looks like I'll be done with van training by 2/1...so that's what, 2.5?
Training is pretty thorough. Company SOPs, regs, GOM, Op Specs, Aircraft, Hazmat, where the coffee is, etc.
You don't pick or bid an aircraft, you bid a run. You're trained based on your run. I'm floating out of LCK so I get all 3. Lucky me. Should be fun every 6 months.
Any idea where you'd like to go?

My wife has the Sp. Ed degree too. She won't have any problem at all...anywhere.
I wouldn't wait to apply though. If you meet the 135 minimums, get in now, while the gettin'-in's good. Give Craig a call and talk to him if you have any questions. Of course, don't hesitate to ask any questions here also. Lots of airnet guys here.

Is AirNet having trouble attracting 135 qualified pilots since the commuters are now hiring anybody with a pulse and a logbook?
I've always been impressed with your operation. I did a few contract runs for AirNet in 1996 out of RDU when I was flying for Ramp 66.
Who wants to fly a Baron at night when they could fly and RJ with 900 less hours.
but the problem is i can't live off SIC pay, hence why i am trying to time it. i only need 150 more for the 135 mins.My wife has the Sp. Ed degree too. She won't have any problem at all...anywhere.

is the prop to lear SIC upgrade still around 12 months or so?
thanks i am looking to get into the Lear and probably stick on with it for quite a while. the benefits at Airnet seem pretty good. if someday something better comes along then i would think about leaving, but as of now i am thinking of being there for at least 5-7years (depends on how long i can deal with the late nights w/ a family etc. i am naturally a night person though). I really want MSP but i know the lear list is long for that base....Ah, I understand. I thought you had the 135 mins now. Definitely get your time in first. Don't come in needing 2-3 hours even or you'll be screwed on the "sign-on bonus". If you aren't completely at 135 mins when you get here, you'll get 1500 instead of 3k. Fair, yes...but if you can avoid it do so.
After talking to people for the past month, it sounds like a year is about right...maybe less depending on where you're willing to go to get in the lear and what the current lear guys want to do. I've talked to some that just want 2-300 LJ PIC and are moving on, some want a year or 1000 TJPIC...just depends. I have a feeling I'll be in the props forever unless the wife decides she's a little more open to moving, but if you aren't hell-bent on LCK, you are probably looking at 12 or so months.

You'll do a checkride, then SIC until you meet PIC minimums then you'll be a PIC. No extra checkride unless you need extra equipment qualifications (Navajo or Caravan). After completing the SIC program do you have to do additional training or groundschool? or do you just take the Checkride for PIC
Are you referring to the JetRide equipment?Lear?
A recruiter told me that the Lear Jets were bought out from another company. I figured that info to be spot on but I haven't seen anyone mentioning it on these forums.
Everyone starts in the props. Is it common for people to go right to the Lears as newhires with just basic 135 minimums? If so I find that extremely surprising.
