Doug, you do realize the irony right? It's JEWISH Star of David.

its ok i was in MYR not too long ago and i have the star as a tattoo on my arm... a southerner asks me what it is and i tell him its a jewish star .. he replies with a thick southern accent...."whats a jew" was pretty funny but i guess you had to be there

I know I shouldn't laugh, but that mental visual is just TOO funny!!

Oh man is that image funny...redneck...

I got this image of the guy from "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" who tells the story about being drunk in public sayin..."hah, hell, whats a Jew?"

But anyways, how can you not know what a Jew is, that's kinda sad. But then again like half my friends are Jewish.

Being from the South and out of a Southern Baptist high school, it really doesn't surprise me.

You should see me try to justify my beliefs when I go home to Mississippi. They start throwing logs and builing a fire.

You'd be surprised. Only about two percent of the US population is Jewish.

I know someone from West Virginia who never met a Jewish person until she moved here.

Hey don't be knocking my (adopted, for the next 2 weeks anyways) state. Actually, you're right. I've met a bunch of people here who hadn't met anyone who wasn't Christen until they went to College. It's sad that in a "modern" day and age people are still living very sheltered lives.

It was really funny in Queens (NYC) in the Kew Gardens area where there are a TON of airline crash pads (because of the central location to LGA & JFK). You look around on the sidewalks and you see airline people and orthodox (or hasidic I'm really not sure....) Jews. It's a big Jewish neighborhood there, it just always cracked me up to see all the pilots in jeans, polos & white tennis shoes sharing the sidewalk with the orthodox Jews in their long hair/beards & black suits.

That mental image is cracking me up. What a contrast!
