How backed up are DPEs in your area?

In Oregon we are 7 to 9 weeks out to schedule airplane practical tests, Helicopter Practical tests seem to be easily scheduled within a couple of weeks.
How quickly can you get your applicants a date with a DPE?

Out here it's about a 3-week lead time, I think. The FSDO is sending *everything* to the DPEs right now and they're staying pretty darn busy.

Backups are about the same up here in the Puget Sound. Helps that ATP just kind of pre-schedules blocks of time, and assigns them as it gets closer. We've taken to flying in DPEs in some cases, and/or flying students out.
