Just wanted to know if anybody out there who is going to Houston Center got a school date yet.
 
I have my tentative for Houston center and it seems that they are still working through my background check. So no final offer yet or start date other than what I was given as a "possible" start date. I initially said July 14th...what did you pick?
 
They didnt give me any choices on when I could start. My pepc was march 17 in miami. I know a guy going to okc June 24 but his interview was over a year ago. He did his interview and background check the old fashioned way. Good luck, let me know if you hear anything.
 
As soon as I get a solid date I will defiinitely send you a message. So have you already received your final offer and are just waiting for a school date? I went through the Ft. Worth PEPC on April 28th, and at the end the HR rep asked me what timeframe I was looking at starting school. I told him anytime was good, but if I had to pick I suggested sometime in July. He said they had a class scheduled for July 14th and wrote my name on that list. All this was punctuated with a "we try to put everyone going to the same place in the same class, so the date could change".
 
Thats interesting. They must be waiting for background checks and such before they firm up that date. I dont have a firm offer yet but all my clearances have been given. Thanks for the info and I'll let you know if I hear something.
 
My contact person at the FAA informed me. I called them about 3 weeks after my pepc to see if I could get the same date as my friend. He told me I had all my clearances except the drug screen. 2 weeks later they still didnt have it. I basically had to track it down myself. It finally showed up clear about 2 weeks ago. Thats almost 2 months after my pepc. Im not really sure what Im waiting on now but I know my contact person is out of town so I'll be waiting until at least next week.

I am federal employee and military member who lives in the houston area just passed may at-sat in march for the feb. OTS application. Thank you for your time and efforts
 
Did you all apply for the Houston job from last June? I was hoping to get into a PEPC this summer for Houston. My ASAP account still says you may or may not be contacted and the person I talked to said the Texas panel met May 6-9th. It's awesome you all have been contacted but its crazy you have had to wait so long just for an Oklahoma date!!! Hopefully they are waiting for another set of people (like me) then off to Oklahoma in July.
