When booking, is it considered a package rate? If I book now, will I be chared now with no option to cancel reservation with a refund?

So if i cancel, I'm out $500 or 109?

I THINK it's a "group" rate. A "package" rate is probably when you book a room and get a dinner and show tickets with it.

When does the group rate expire? I don't know for sure that I will be at NJC (should know within 30 days hopefully). Is the group rate only good for a certain amount of time?

September 22

the early bird rates end at 11:59 tonight...after that, its regular rate.

At the hotel?

September 22nd the unsold hotel rooms go back into inventory.

If there's a 50.0000001% chance you want to come, I'd heavily suggest booking the rooms now and if you don't think you can make it, cancel the reservation within the allowed period as per the hotel.

It's not an "unlimited rate code" whereas as long as you use the code, you'll get a room if there are rooms available. The contracted rate we negotiated is for a limited number of rooms.

The "weekend before the event" rooms are starting to dry up really fast so if you're coming early, gotta get on it Jeeves! :)

shoot, i actually forgot all about that...that's a GREAT point! we sure don't want to lose our deals. previous message revised

I have to admit, we had to pull teeth to get our rates which is part of the reason why we have *limited* space at those rates. There's no way we'd get those rates if we have 500 rooms or more.
