Hostile Grape or other Wine Tasting for +1's?

How many of your +1's would be interested in going to the Hostile Grape over at the M Resort?

What do you think would be a good day and time to do that such that it doesn't interfere too much with other plans? I'm thinking Tuesday myself since Tuesday is wide open right now and us +1's could go mid-afternoon or for happy hour.

I'm going to try to work out a date and time with them, i just need to know if i think we're going to have 10 or more specifically to make sure there will be enough room for us, get transportation (it's in the south strip area which will be about a 15 min drive or so), try to get a drink punch card made up (like buy 5 for $20 or see what they can do) and see if we can't have a sommelier available.

here's some info on the hostile grape...The M Resort Spa Casino Las Vegas • Dining • Hostile Grape Wine Cellar Bar Tasting Room

Essentially, it's a really neat wine bar that has over 600 wines of which 160 are available for "tasting" on a 1oz, 3oz or 5oz scale...you can pick and choose what to try which makes it a really versatile bar.

I already checked with the Rio's Wine Cellar Restaurant and they have a per person food charge which if we're wine tasting, we don't need that much food, just apps or snackies. so i already took them out of the picture unfortunately.

I'm still going to look into Simon at the Palms as well since they seem to have a nice wine selection as well but it's not the same as the Hostile Grape where you have such small tasters and so many different wines to taste.

Another idea is to grab a bunch of wines at Bevmo or what not and open the Skyvilla early on Monday before the big networking event starts and hold a wine tasting/M&G there for us.

So let me know your thoughts and if you think Tuesday would work or if we should do Sunday afternoon as an intro to ACE type of thing or if we should do something else all together.

Thanks!

I would love to do wine tasting, but we will (most likely) not be around on Tuesday to do so. So, with that in mind, I vote for Sunday or Monday and since I've never been, whatever place looks the best to you, I vote for :)

so the wine tasting thing has gotten complicated...oh yay....

maybe we'll just hold a wine tasting M&G ladies event before the networking gig up in the skyvilla if we can do early check-in. HAHA

Wife is interested in more information on this. I see it in the main event room before the event. Is someone actually doing the wine selection for the tasting? You know chocolates complement wine right???? ;)

i'm bringing the wine in from home along with some catering from the hotel. I can bring some various chocolate from home too. I'll have white and red from all different countries.

it's more of a meet and greet type atmosphere. come sip on some wine, eat some munchies, use the pool if you want (bring a suit) and talk girlie talk before the big night takes us all in different directions.

If there's a good group of gals involved and if i can monetarily support having one staff member (a sommelier) on board, I'll try to get one...but that's on the wish list right now.

Martin, you'll still be here because this particular event is going to be held in the Skyvilla before the NetworkJC event on Monday...while all you guys are down at the career fair.
