Hornet Ball 2015

Super cool video.

Questions...

1) What was with the MiG? Who owns that one?
2) Who does the helmet art for the pilots?
3) Seems like some of the helmets were flat-topped and others more rounded. What's the difference?

1) Looks like a Malaysian Sukkoi
2) The PRs (Parachute Riggers) are responsible for the helmet art. It's done with colored reflective tape. The PRs maintain all the flight gear.
3) Same helmets. The added device is the JHMCS (Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System)

Also a couple frames of MIG-29 in there as well. But the Su-27 was likely Malaysian.
God bless America, but dayum did the Russians understand aesthetics. The Flanker and Fulcrum are two of the best looking planes to take to the skies in my opinion. They make the Hornet and Eagle look like Leggo models.

They are nice looking aircraft…….for whatever strange reason, I particularly like the looks of the Su-34.

Hmmm . . I could go either way on the canards. The 27 looks cleaner but I get what you're saying.

Well. They gave us this too:

False! A ground effect vehicle is no comparison for a Mach 5 fighter with thought controlled weapons and a rearward defense pod!

Think in Russian!
