I just found out that a good friend of mine (who just so happened to be my Instrument Rating CFI) just landed a first officer job with Mesaba airlines (subsidary of NWA).

Yes it was Jim.
He had 2 interviews lined up - one for Mesaba flying in the Midwest. The other was island hopping in Hawaii.

He chose Mesaba. Go figure
