High performance endorsement in DFW

Does anyone have an idea where I might be able to get a high performance endorsement in the DFW area? Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry .... It's probably too far but you can get a high performance and high altitude endorsement at Accell Aviation in Iola, KS K88

I believe at altitude it produces more than 200HP, when the turbo boosts, but I don't know that as a fact.

Not on the Turbo Arrow, regardless of Turbo Arrow III or IV.

Both are listed as 200hp as maximum horsepower for all operations, as per the TCDS. The PA28R-201T (Turbo Arrow III) is number XVIII and PA28RT-201T (Turbo Arrow IV) is number XXI in the TCDS in the following link. http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgMakeModel.nsf/0/a44b41c7e7d7d7458625753c004f4a2d/$FILE/2A13.pdf

Yeah I checked at Monarch, they did have a 182, but it was 275 an hour. That seemed a little steep to me for a 182, but, I haven't been able to find any other schools in the area to compare prices.

The high performace endorsement is such a joke. A Mooney M20J w/ 200 hp isn't considered high peformance, but a Stearman w/ a 225 hp Continental is? :dunno: The Stearman flies like a big Cub and is about as far from high peformance as you can get.

Do the research...not all of them.

Which one is high performance then? I'm not going to run around and play stupid, when you could just answer the question. None of them left the factory with more than 200 horsepower, so I'd guess its some sort of STC.

Now you're getting warmer. Once you get into the engine STC's you'll find that there are mods to push it into 210hp, there is even ONE 235HP arrow that I know of.

I'm not trying to be a punk but there is a lot of info out there most people aren't aware of.

I stand corrected. :o

Sure, but you'd agree that not a single Arrow left the factory with a high performance engine, correct?

That's what I was getting at also with no response. And my question is, can you give a HP endorsement in a plane that was not HP when it was certificated?
